Our Story
Benoit Ranch was established in 2025 when the Benoit Family purchased the historic 1967 Walker Ranch in Central California, near Kings Canyon National Park. Founded by wife & husband with a shared desire to step away from the pace of everyday life. The working sheep ranch soon became a place to reconnect with nature, animals, and a simpler way of living. Surrounded by wide open pastures and the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Benoit Ranch reflects a lifestyle centered on slowing down, being present, and living in harmony with the land. Rooted in care, sustainability, and respect for both animals and the environment, the ranch blends rustic tradition with a peaceful , elevated country experience.

A Working Sheep Ranch
Dorpers. Babydolls. Harlequin. Mini Zebus

While Benoit Ranch offers a peaceful connection with nature, it is also a full working sheep ranch rooted in purpose and tradition. Fully dedicated to raising high-quality Dorper Sheep through thoughtful, sustainable practices. Benoit Ranch's Dorper Sheep are primarily raised for 4-H projects and culling. Each animal is developed with care in a natural, pasture-based environment that reflects our commitment to responsible livestock production and stewardship of the land.
Benoit Ranch has recently added Babydoll Sheep and Harlequin Sheep to its flock due to their gentle temperament, manageable size, and strong suitability for sustainable pasture management. Babydoll Sheep are also used for the management of orchards, vineyards, hobby farms, and small homesteads. This dual purpose reflects the ranch's commitment to producing versatile animals that serve both practical land stewardship and the growing interest in sustainable, small-scale ranching.
